Valuation Guide For Items Donated Through
Community Crusade for Children, Inc.

This is a list of AVERAGE prices charged at resale stores. New or high quality items would be higher, damaged or well-worn items, less. they are to be used as a starting point. Factors (e.g., condition, age, antique value, cleanness and value when nes) should then be figured in the equation. An appraisal is suggested if item is over $500.00. The following paragraph is from the I.R.S. regulations:
See form 8383 Internal Revenue Servies-Charitable Contributions:
Requires that the contributor attach to his income tax return the following information:
- Name and Address of the organization to which the contribution was made.
- Date of the contribution
- Description of the property, indluding its condition
- Cost of the property
- Fair market value showing method of utilized in determining fair value
- Amount claimed as a deduction
Additional information is for any single item contribution for which a deduction is in excess of $500.00 is claimed. Check with you local I.R.S. office in such incidents.
